1. All states and states share quotas released

If the last fiscal year was the transitional stage of the epidemic, then this fiscal year will fully enter the post-epidemic recovery phase. Although the border has not yet opened, immigration is important to Australia's recovery, and skilled immigration is also important. This has been heard more than once by the ministers and prime ministers. This line of thinking was clarified early, and the federal and state governments have also made preparations. Starting from 7.1, there will be heavy news a day, and they are all positive. Skilled immigrants have moved from 189 independent skilled immigrants to employer guarantees and state guarantees. The former has been announced in advance and 22 popular and common immigration jobs including accounting have been added to the PMSOL list (PMSOL official said it is mainly for the priority review of employer guarantees)

The federally announced quotas for each state/territory state in fiscal year 21-22

--The overall quota of 190 states increased by 15.64%, and the quota of 491 increased by 20.9%

-- ACT/NSW/VIC/SA/TAS these five popular skilled immigration states have increased their quotas

--In terms of magnitude, 43% of ACT is the most impressive, and NSW's 1,290 in number is the most

--States focus on different aspects. For example,  ACT is biased towards 491; VIC is determined to focus on 190; SA is evenly 190 and 491; TAS last fiscal year 491 is seriously insufficient so This year I have made more supplements; as long as NSW is willing, filling 190 and 491 is not a problem.

--Investment immigration states share quotas, all states/territories maintain the previous fiscal year

As of now the state of the new fiscal year:

ACT: The first round of matrix invitations for the new fiscal year has been issued on 7.1, and the next round is issued on the 14th (possibly sooner). At the same time, the new small business state will be notified of the SBO project. If there is no accident, the 7.5 will be on the official website. Declare

VIC: The first to announce the new policy. The ROI invitation for the new fiscal year will be opened on July 7 to reduce the pre-semi-annual work requirements. In the new fiscal year, priority will be given to applicants who guarantee STEMM majors to work in the 7 major targert sectors.

NSW: The application is not open for the time being. It is expected that the new 190 and 491 occupation lists will be announced in the next few weeks.

TAS: The application is not open for the time being. It is expected to open around the middle of the month. The application for roll-over in the previous fiscal year is still being processed

SA: Applications will be opened on July 19, and new policies will be announced before opening

QLD: All state guarantee related policies will be determined before the end of July, and then applications will be opened (expected in August)

NT: Application is open to domestic applicants, and only MINT projects can go abroad.

WA: No opening news has been announced yet

2. Good news for accountants who do not have a good Plan B choice! Canberra's small business project will be officially announced!

The advantages of the SBO project are:

1. Covers all current federal skilled immigration majors, don’t worry about list adjustments

The current four major occupation list (MLTSSL STSOL ROL PMSOL) occupations can apply, most students can find their own occupations. Don't worry that Canberra's current critical skilllist will be reviewed every four months (the next revision will be in September).

2. Based on the Matrix system, the setting is reasonable, 190/491 can apply

The most fundamental aspect of SBO is a skilled immigration project. Applicants need to have a career assessment for the nominated occupation. If it is a Group 1 (Managers) or Group 2 (Professionals) occupation, the language needs to meet at least 4 7s (PTE is also available), EOI scoring needs to reach 65 points (plus points from the state government). After satisfying these basic requirements, it comes to Matrix scoring. Like the other two branches, applicants still have extra points for language, extra points for academic qualifications, extra points for local work and residence, and of course, spouse-related extra points. What comes out is extra points for small business projects:

491 business and employment requirements

--As the main shareholder of an ACT local registered business (holding more than half of the ownership), the business needs to operate for at least 6 months.

-The turnover of the business each year is at least 200,000 Australian dollars (100,000 Australian dollars in half a year)

--The business needs to be profitable during the period

--As the main shareholder, the applicant needs 3 months to receive a certain amount of salary from the business (Friday's version is set at $13000. The specific details are still under discussion)

--Need to hire at least one Australian citizen/PR/New Zealand citizen, hire at least 13 weeks and work at least 20 hours per week before submitting Matrix. However, the employment does not need to be continuous, and it does not have to be done by only one person (for example, you can hire A for 7 weeks, and after 2 months, hire B for 6 weeks)

190’s business and employment requirements:

--As the main shareholder of an ACT local registered business (holding more than half of the ownership), the business needs to operate for at least 6 months.

-The turnover of the business each year is at least 200,000 Australian dollars (calculated proportionally for less than/over one year)

--The business needs to be profitable during the period

--The applicant, as the main shareholder, needs to receive salary from the business for 6 months (Friday version is set at $26000, the specific details are still under discussion)

--Need to hire at least one Australian citizen/PR/New Zealand citizen, hire at least 13 weeks and work at least 20 hours per week before submitting Matrix. However, the employment does not need to be continuous, and it may not necessarily be completed by one person (for example, A can be hired for 7 weeks, after 2 months, B can be hired for 6 weeks)

Regardless of whether it is 491 or 190, operating a business that meets the above requirements not only meets the requirements of taking SBO, but also gets MATRIX points. At least 20 points for operating at least 12 months, and 10 points for operating at least 6 months.

3. There is no minimum investment requirement, only Turnover requirement, loose profit requirement

It is very suitable for applicants with a graduate background of international students, and also encourages applicants to manage and run their business

4. Long-term projects, stable state policy, increased quotas

Canberra attracted many out-of-state students through the advantages of policies and occupational lists in the last fiscal year. The state government is satisfied with the existing system as a whole. At the end of the fiscal year, it received a bonus of 600 additional states’ quotas. Determined to continue to "take advantage of the victory", spent a lot of time before and after setting up the project, listened to the opinions of all parties including the intermediary during the period, and was still revising it until these two days, which shows the rigorous and serious attitude.

3. Victoria’s long-lost benefits have reduced the 190 requirements and expanded application areas

Victoria was the first state to announce the new policy this fiscal year. Last fiscal year, Victoria’s distribution was generally orderly and rule-based, but not many occupations were benefited, and there was a lot of waste in 491. The state government this fiscal year I also bothered to make corresponding adjustments, which also brought good news.

This year Victoria still uses the ROI application method, reducing requirements + increasing areas

However, compared with last year, this year's application requirements have been relaxed a lot:

1. The minimum work experience requirements and working hours requirements have been deleted

2. Added industry fields

3. 190 needs to be a profession of STEMM Skill Level 1 and 2, and 491 can be a profession of STEMM Level 3.

Many new fields have been added:

Health: There are not only nursing jobs (such as nurses), but also staff in the nursing field (such as software engineers working in hospitals). ANZSCO 254499-Registered Nurses nec is still not on the list. But if your employment is in a medical institution (such as a hospital or nursing home), it will be reviewed first.

Medical Research: In addition to researchers working in universities and research institutes, applicants can also be engaged in drug testing and production, medical/health product production, medical equipment and electronic medical work.

Life Science: Workers in the food processing, health care and cosmeceutical industries can apply.

Digital: IT applicants need to pay special attention to the 190 nomination in this field. Currently, only applicants working in CYBER SECURITY are accepted. However, IT staff in other fields are still encouraged to apply (such as software engineers engaged in medical research work)

Agri-food: engaged in research and development of food growth and production, modern production, including research and development of advanced manufacturing

Advanced manufacturing: engaged in security and aerospace work, including production, design, and logistics positions

New energy, emissions reduction and circular economy: This field includes clean energy, renewable energy, bioenergy, carbon capture and energy storage
