1. Australia is about to produce local mRNA vaccines

Australia is preparing to test its first indigenous mRNA vaccine to be produced in Australia. Monash University, the developer of the first candidate mRNA vaccine, has signed an agreement with the federal government to begin production for clinical trials later this year. This will be the first time an mRNA vaccine has been produced in an existing facility in Australia.

The agreement was signed by IDT Australia, a Melbourne-based biotechnology company, and the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Monash University, which developed vaccine candidates. The project is funded by mRNA Victoria and the Federal Government’s Medical Research Future Fund. The first phase of the trial is expected to begin in collaboration with the Doherty Institute at the end of this year. Successful local manufacturing will help Australia avoid future vaccine supply problems and realize Australia's vaccine self-sufficiency.

3. Many states have issued a new round of vouchers, and international students can also get them!

NSW

Previously, the NSW government issued a total of $100 worth of dining and entertainment vouchers to residents of the NSW area. Due to the subsequent lockdown of the epidemic, the validity period of the vouchers was extended to next year. Two vouchers with a total value of $50 in a round, of which $25 is used for food and beverage consumption and $25 is used for entertainment consumption. It is valid until June 2022 and will be released to the Service NSW app in November. With the unblocking of NSW, I believe that friends will be able to meet three or five friends with vouchers to go out to play.

Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia

The Australian Federal Government and the Tasmanian Government announced that they will soon launch 10,000 travel vouchers worth $300. Residents of Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia can apply for the vouchers, of which $200 will be used for accommodation and $100 will be used for accommodation. Used for scenic spot vouchers. The plan will bring Tasmania an economic contribution of 25 million Australian dollars. Travel vouchers need to be applied for and redeemed through Tassie Holiday Voucher, and they will be used in November and December.
